Charming

Always meant to read this and so glad I finally did! You can't help but fall in love with Helene, and all her correspondents at the bookstore.

This book was even more delightful than I was promised.

How can you describe perfection? Throughout the entire book, I smiled at each page and laughed out loud at so many others.

I started & finished it today after many, many recommendations from my book club. After I was finished, there's a really good chance that I sat just hugging the book for a solid 5 minutes...silently.

My mom would have adored this book.*

Now, off to read the sequel and not sleep the rest of the night.

*edited to add: While reading this book, I wished my mom was still alive so that I could get this book for her for Christmas. While scrolling through all of my GR friends who read & rated it, I'm so very happy to see that she had already read & LOVED it back in 2011. *sigh* I'm so glad...

this book is so warm and comfy with an underlying heartbreak that comes with the death of good friends
