We Bookish

We Bookish is a welcoming, BIPOC and LGBTQ+ inclusive book club that celebrates diverse voices, great literature, and meaningful connections. We meet quarterly to share good conversation, fellowship, food, and a love of books! Our reading focuses primarily on authors of the African Diaspora, exploring fiction, nonfiction, history, and other genres that illuminate Black experiences, cultures, and perspectives from around the world. We welcome curious minds, thoughtful discussion, differing perspectives, and a willingness to engage with stories that challenge, inspire, and expand our understanding of the world. Come having read the book, ready to share your thoughts, and open to hearing those of others. Above all, we believe reading should be enjoyable, community-building, and occasionally accompanied by a delicious bowl of soup!
