The Write Thread

We are a small group of readers who enjoy the oldies and classics. We chat about the books by way of online discussion threads on a forum.

Some of our previous books include: Lost Illusions, Honore de Balzac; The Leopard, Giuseppe Tomas Di Lampedusa; Rebecca, Daphne du Maurier; Madame Bovary, Flaubert; Middlemarch George Eliot; The Age of Innocence, Edith Wharton; Waiting for Godot, Samuel Beckett ; Three Penny Opera, Bertolt Brecht ; The Fortunes of War, Olivia Manning ; Turn of the Screw, Henry James and many more...usually fiction, but occasionally non-fiction or plays. We have just started Death in Venice by Thomas Mann (January 2025).
