The Long Shelf Collective -- Classics 2026

We are a monthly, discussion-based book club for readers who want to engage with classic literature in a relaxed, thoughtful way. We read one classic work each month and "meet" online to talk about themes, characters, and why these books still matter.

Participation is flexible: read at your own pace, join the discussion when you can. This is a space for real conversation, not lectures or literary gatekeeping :-)

Our book club is completely virtual and asynchronous! There are no scheduled live meetings, so you can participate whenever it’s convenient for you.

The meeting date simply marks the day our discussion opens and spoilers are fair game! By that date, everyone should have finished the book, so we can freely discuss the plot, characters, twists, and ending without worrying about spoiling anything.

Read at your own pace, pop into the discussion when you’re ready, and enjoy chatting about the book with fellow readers!
