ABOUT ME

I have been obsessed with reading since the age of 2, but never had any other reader friends that could talk to me about all the amazing books I was reading. That fact is still true in my adult life, so when I started meeting other book lovers through my business, SerenityMoonPinCo, I felt like this was the perfect opportunity to make a book club so I can bond with people over some great books!

BOOK CLUB/MEETING INFO

I do have a chronic illness, so I’ll try to hold a meeting once a month hopefully during the last weekend of the month, but that is subject to change based on how I feel. I will post updates on when the meetings will be, what time the meeting will be(that will work for everyone), and any other announcements about our upcoming books/what chapters we’re supposed to read.

WHAT WE’LL READ

We’ll mostly be reading Fantasy, Romance, YA Fiction, NA fiction, and anything else along those lines that interest us as a group. I will also be suggesting any book recs that I see on booktok or any other new/upcoming releases that look good. There will be a poll posted to vote for the next month’s book and the most popular vote will be the one we read. You don’t need to go out and buy every book that we read, you can definitely do what I do and get your book from the library. I’ll try to pick books that are available at the library too so that it’s easier for everyone to get for free.

PARTICIPATION EXPECTATIONS

As for participation, it’s not required that you have to participate in every single thing(I have social anxiety so I get how it feels to be nervous about speaking to others), but I would love if you could talk and participate in anything that you feel comfortable with and that you at least participate in the book choosing polls so we can hopefully read something that you want too. I do at least want verbal participation from some people since I created this book club to go out of my comfort zone and make friends!

RULES

I expect that everyone is nice to all members and you don’t judge anyone’s opinion on a book/character/ship even if it’s not the same as your opinion. This is a safe space, so I will not tolerate any negative/mean behavior or bullying. Everyone is welcome here, regardless of who they are, so please treat this group like an accepting/close friend group, and most importantly I hope you have fun here!
