NYC Business Casual is a book club for people who are intentional about their lives, their careers, and how they think. We value comfort, humility, and openness—and we believe learning is something best done together, not competitively.

We read roughly one book per month, focusing on serious, substantive works related to business, investing, psychology, strategy, and ideas that shape adult decision-making. Occasionally, we’ll mix in history or fiction, but only when it carries tangible meaning beyond entertainment.

Meetings are primarily in person, usually at coffee shops in Lower Manhattan. We believe in being good guests—everyone is expected to purchase something, and we do not occupy spaces without supporting the business. Some meetings may also be held virtually when appropriate.

This is not a space for performative networking or posturing. All perspectives are welcome, and diversity of thought is essential to strong discussion. The goal is thoughtful conversation, respectful disagreement, and shared growth in a serious but comfortable environment.
