Dis Lit

We convene on our Discord server, in the voice channel "Book Club Meeting", on the last Monday or Wednesday of every month, at 7 or 9 P.M. ET. Please pop in whether you haven't started the book, are currently reading it, or finished it years ago. Everyone is invited to turn on their camera and speak about what they thought of the selection. Anyone may participate to any degree that they are comfortable. Some may just want to contribute by messaging in the chat, or only listen, all are welcome.

The discussions are scheduled for two hours, but vary depending on the story, participants, questions, and flow of the dialogue. You are welcome to drop in or out whenever you want. To respect attendees' limited time, the facilitator makes an announcement after two hours for whoever may need to leave. For the members that can stay, the conversation is then open to sharing other media recommendations and anything else the group wants to talk about.

Everyone is encouraged to vote on which books you would like to read, as well as the day and time that is most convenient, for the next month's gathering in the "Polls" tab. You may choose as many titles, and times, that you like. Feel free to nominate any other work from the "Books We Want To Read" section, and it will be added to the poll.
