Covid Cautious Queer Speculative Fiction Club

Welcome! This is a Covid cautious community for reading and discussing queer speculative fiction! We'll be meeting monthly at Syd Kronenthal Park in Culver City. We follow strict Covid caution to protect each other and ourselves.

Code of Conduct:

☆ We only read queer speculative fiction, i.e. speculative fiction by queer authors or with explicitly queer worlds and/or characters.

☆ We follow strict Covid cautions:

• All meetings are outdoors.
• Members must:
• Provide photographic proof of two negative rapid antigen tests taken the day of the meeting and 48 hours prior (using the combined oral/nasal method). A molecular test such as a PCR or NAAT may also be used the day of the meeting instead of two antigens. 
• Wear well-fitting (no gaps) N95/KN95 masks during the entirety of a meeting (stepping 12+ feet away from the group to eat or drink). (If your mask gets wet, it won't work: replace it promptly.)
• Have received a Covid vaccine in the last six months.
• Alert the group of any positive Covid test within 7 days following a meeting.
• Abstain from coming to a meeting if: a) experiencing new symptoms, b) exposed to Covid or an indoor gathering with more than 10 people within 10 feet of you within the last seven days (exceptions made for employment), or c) Covid-positive in the last seven days, even if currently testing negative (due to the risk of rebound infection).

☆ The club is open to all queer people and allies 18+ who will follow our required Covid cautions.

☆ The moderator(s) agree not to ban or take sanctions against any member without mediation, with exceptions for obvious trolls.
