About Tika’s book club

Starting a book club has been an idea I wanted to do for some years now, I am a book lover and one day I dream of writing and self publishing my own book. Ok so, I happened to be just scrolling on the internet one evening, and I saw that one of my favorite old time book writers Sister Souljah was coming out with a new book and sequel to The Coldest Winter Ever, an urban fan favorite. I thought this is the perfect time to start a club, and why not bring back and re read The Coldest Winter Ever and have discussions about the book, so once we read the new book we will be all refreshed and caught up. I asked my Friends on Facebook and they were just as excited and down for the idea... and that's where it began. The vibe of this club is super chill and fun, We meet Virtually considering everything going on with this virus, but also it gives people who don't live in the same area a chance to participate. This group isn't filled with a bunch of stiff rules, we read, we chat and discuss, have some laughs, and just enjoy the literacy. Of course we need to keep it a bit organized though so here are a few requirements. 1.- Participate- the key to a successful book club or anything group based it to participate, read, give book ideas, give your opinion, ask questions, chime in... yea all of that. 2.- If you can't make one of our meets just hit me up and let me know. 3.- Be respectful, we understand everyone might have different opinions, and that's ok, let's be mindful and embrace that. 4.- Revert to number 1 :) 5.- Let's enjoy, have fun, create memories, and good vibes!!!
