What was your favorite scene, and why?
Have you ever told a big lie and gone to great lengths to cover it up, like Jane has with Jack Quinlan's song? If so, what was the lie?
As Jane spends more time with the Finnegans, she desires a sense of belonging among the family. Why do you think she feels this way?
Do you have any special traditions with anyone in your family, like Jane and her mom have with Friday movie nights? What are they and how did they come about? What do they mean to you?
What do you think about the embarrassment Jane felt around her past with Jack? Was it justified?
Jane is especially touched when Dan's niece Ruby gifts her a bracelet she'd made. Why do you think this had such an effect on her?
Have you ever felt like you needed time away from your family, like Dan has with "Dan time"? If so, what does "your" time look like for you?
Jane's final meeting with Jack Quinlan grew intense rather quickly. What do you think about how Jane reacted to him? What would you have done in her shoes?
Have you ever had a True Story in your own life? Something you were so passionate about that you'd be willing to risk it all to make it happen?
What did you think of the ending? Is there any character you wish you could have known more about?
