Is Grace meant to be a likeable character? Please explain your thoughts and whether you liked her or not.
Please consider the sense of entitlement the male characters have when it comes to sex and women, do you think these characters view women as commodities and infidelity as an accepted right of married men?
Is Grace a reliable narrator?
Mackie subtly inserts Harry's character throughout the book - the smoker asking for a light at the pub, the runner sat under the bridge, the masked at the sex club - Grace is completely blindsided by this. Do you think she would have spotted this if she wasn't so laser-focused on her murderous mission? Did you see him/the twist coming?
Are Grace's crimes justifiable?
Through Grace, Mackie explores sex parties and the BDSM community in London. Do you think her portrayal was accurate and do you think these communities were fairly and respectfully represented?
Considering yourself and your extended family, is there anyone who is a potential target for murder?
How do you feel about the ending, was it realistic, was it satisfying?
To what extent was gender a factor in the differences between Grace and Harry in their quests for revenge and their treatment by Simon?
From your experience, how accurate were the characterisations of London boroughs and their dwellers?
Had the genders been switched, how palatable would the storyline between Pete, the teenage hacker, and Grace have been to the reader? Would it have impacted the characters' likability?
We laugh along with Grace despite her horrific intentions and murderous acts. Can we justify Grace's crimes given her motivations and the victims' characterisations?? To what extent does a character's morality, political leanings, as well as their social outlook impact our judgement of them as readers?
Although Jamie's girlfriend accidentally falls to her death, do you think Grace would have pushed her if she hadn't?
Are there any crimes you would commit if there were no consequences?
