Romances often feature the opposites-attract trope, but in this case Darcy and Gabriel are truly literal opposites: a grim reaper and a guardian angel. How did the paranormal component of the story enhance the trope for you?

In Grim Tidings, the afterlife runs a lot like an office, complete with departments, rules, and rivalries. What did the workplace humor add to the story?

Darcy has spent a century guiding people out of life without getting to live much of her own. What does her life list reveal about what she’s been missing? What would be at the top of yours?

Gabriel feels responsible for the safety of everyone in his town. How does that sense of duty shape the way he sees Darcy at first, and what changes as he gets to know her?

Darcy breaks the rules of fate to save a life instead of taking one. Was she right to? Did the consequences feel fair?
