I was so disappointed with this collection. I really liked House on Mango Street and so when I found this book in a local used bookstore I figured it would be just as good. While the prose was still beautifully done, the content of the stories pretty much bored me. A book that should have taken me only a night to read ended up sitting on my nightstand for over a week. Thank goodness I actually made it through after almost giving up several times.
