Winter Counts by David Heska Wanbli Weiden was part of a book club and not one I would have discovered on my own. Set on a reservation, we follow Virgil, who is an "enforcer" on the reservation, dealing with crimes outside the law. Things turn upside down when his nephew is accused of dealing drugs.
This was a pretty good mystery even though I thought it escalated a bit fast. Not knowing about life on a reservation and the struggles that come with it, this was enlightening and entertaining.
