Winning the Orc's Heart has a story that is equally about adventure as it is about love. While on a job for the King's History Corps, Vienne stumbles into an Orc exploring the same ancient ruin. Startled by her appearance but set on a goal, Graz realizes that to get to the secret magic source he's traveled so far to find, he's gonna need her help.
This being my first Trollkin Lover's book, I really loved that the story basically begins with both Graz and Vienne meeting in an ancient ruin. For me, it set the tone of their story; hidden secrets, magic, danger and Vienne and Graz working together. Vienne's job as a corps member does not outweigh her sense of morals and I love that her character stays committed to them from beginning to end.

And while I didn't always agree with Graz's decision, I did understand that they were apart of his character development. From the version of Graz we see in this book, he's still a book worm/adventure novice who is more interested in the discovery over the consequences of his findings.
More than once I saying "this big, soft, smart but dumb goober" 😆.
Readers who like books to have adventure, banter, romance, spicy scenes and HEAs will enjoy Winning the Orc's Heart.
I am adding this series to my TBR so I can catch up on the magic lore from the beginning. It was really intriguing to me.
