Something just fell a little flat for me. I donât want to discourage anyone from reading this one, maybe youâll love it. It just didnât resonate with me as it didnât felt orignal or exciting. The concept of using female characters from storybooks and mythology is something Iâm divided on - on one hand I think itâs classic, and on the other I find it to be played out. Also, many of these poems read as prose, with no poetic form or function. I liked Nikita Gillâs other book I read recently, THESE ARE THE WORD, much better
