Britannee and Jeni have done it again! First we had the Momcoms, and now the Dadcoms have arrived. In this first book of the new series, we can already see some similarities. Again, they are all living in a run down, falling apart building, but this time as part of fulfilling some crazy requirement of their late father’s will in order to inherit the family law firm.
To add to the mix, Cal discovers he has a 5 year old child and Lola is there to help him learn to be a good father. Cal is your typical goofy, golden retriever MMC who has had a crush on Lola, their paralegal, for years. We get to watch their romance bloom along side zany side characters, such as Madame Esmerelda, the psychic, and Sebastian, the ghost. It is also so much fun to see characters from their other series mingling with those of the new series. Such a fun treat for their long-time readers.
If you are ready to laugh, swoon, and have your heart warmed, you’ll want to grab this book now and be ready for the next one to be released!

This book was genuinely funny and such a delight to read! Brittanee and Jenni did an amazing job together—this story was entertaining, heartwarming, and so much fun from start to finish.
I absolutely loved Lola and Cal. Watching them fall for each other was both hilarious and heart-melting. Their banter had me laughing out loud, and the chemistry between them was off the charts.
Cal stepping into his unexpected role as a dad was so sweet to witness. The moment he finds out he’s the father of a 6-year-old boy (Murphy!) and immediately turns to Lola for help and support was such a great setup. And Lola—she really shows up for both Cal and Murphy in the most caring, grounded way. It was beautiful to see.
Lola and Cal balance each other perfectly, and their story makes for a fantastic start to this series. I can’t wait to see what comes next!
