Who’s that girl? Hmm..I don’t think I know. Honestly. As someone who grew up listing to her music I wanted more behind the scene details. Like what’s the scoop girl? This “memoir” didn’t have that. Majority of the chapters could have been posted on social media as captions and or “tweets”. Seems as if this was an explanation think piece versus an actual memoir. Like was she rushed to write this? A few topics I thought would peak my interest, didn’t. I didn’t read anything in this book that I haven’t already read online, lol. So did I waste my money? No. I had free audible credits. (Book girl math) So I guess a win is a win. I purposely listened to the audio because I wanted the roughness, some authenticity, but it lacked that. I get she’s in her “soft girl” era, but sheeeshh. Would not read again. Wouldn’t even recommend. Maybe my expectations were too high? But she didn’t even come close.
