Whiskey, Words, and a Shovel

I didn't know anything about this book. I'd found it at the book store and it looked intriguing. As I was reading it I wasn't sure if the author was male or female but each poem was about the past or the future events. It also look at the situation of love from both sides the author's and their love. And the author talked about how adversity had built the people that they are now. I like that.

I related to the stories are the poems with some familiarity but mostly I recognize the emotions.
