Water: A haunting, confronting novel from the author of The Heart’s Invisible Furies (International Edition)

lots of trigger warnings for this one. i went in blind just because i dig boyne's books. might've rated higher were i prepared, although i struggled with sympathy for the main character regarding her meekness. regardless boyne is great, and i'll probably still read the follow up novel in this series.

Thoroughly enjoyed this story, brilliant characters and a clever way to deal with such a difficult subject. Earth and Fire now on my list.
