This book was HORRIBLE. The constant racist rhetoric. None of the characters had any redeeming qualities. The obsession with non-black and putting down Nigerian culture was absurd. I was absolutely done when I read “She had it all – happy marriage, dazzling career, straight hair.” … WTF? Straight hair? Really? That’s an accomplishment. This author is a complete fool but it didn’t stop there. This was another highlight “Ronke and Simi were Nigerians – they’d grown up with this kind of madness.”

I do not know what possessed the author to write these thoughts and for someone to actually publish it.

This book was the almost perfect kind of messyyyyy, but i felt like the characters were too old to be acting like thattt! This ending irked me so much! Why she ain't record the conversation like come on! That's where I thought it was going, that would have been a more perfect ending for me.

Good storyline and the turning point of adding a new member/friend to a solid group that breaks them apart...

This book was a very slow start for me, the plot and storyline was kind of obvious and by time it got to it felt rushed. It felt more like a movie than a book
