This deserves 10 Stars! (and I dont say that often about a book)
I always like Niko, he was the real bad ass, next to Teagan and Lucian. However, this book, Niko & Renata's story, by far the best! Niko loved his women, played hard (ladies man)because he killed hard. He has an amazing ability to manipulate the elimants in the earth (love the makeshift temp housing scenes -hot as hell) creating cover from the sun and a blank over the dead. Until he met Renata, a body guard assasign for a very bad bad Gen One Vampire, he has always been carefree...today might be my day to die attitude. Goes in with guns blazing, weapons expert and joker. By far has the neatest personality.
Renata has been a prisoner for the past 2 years, tortured, feed on and forced to guard a dangerous Vamp how kidnapped who kidnapped her to kill for sport. He practices an outlawed blood sport club(kidnap, hunt and brutally murder them). After she is hunted herself, she is force to user her abilty...She is a human and can cripple a vamires mine and even kill, after which she is drained an helpless. Her abductor decides she is valuable and keeps her as his guard...not with out tourture and pain. Then comes along a warrior looking for information on the very basturd she has to protect. Niko is there to find her boss to protect him from the assinations of Gen Ones. Niko soon discovers this ass hat needs to be put down but cant lift a finger...rules and is captures and tortured for information instead.
These two go on the run after she helps to rescue Niko from death, in the hopes that he will help her find another human child that was taken from her protect. This child's ability is like no other, she can show you, your future when looking into her eyes. Two bad ass warriors falling in love, what better story is that!
The chemisty between Niko and Renata is highly intense and very sexy....got me so reveved up I had to take a brake and fool around myseld (rare). This story has so much storyline, the author goes into both of their past briefly so you have some background. Ms. Adrain, builds the story from front to back, danger, intrigue, lots of action and lots of romance. This story keeps you glued to the pages and you feel as if your there within the pages. All of the writting creates emotions, good an bad and takes you on a roller coaster ride. New stories start to evolve, Hunter & Mira and the Andreas Reichen (intense side story here) and take you on another journey that leaves you stunned and shocked.
This was already an intense and amazing series, but this book, took it over the top into a whole new catagory. THIS IS A MUCH READ SERIES! Hot & Sexy Vampire warriors....how can you not pick it up!
