Underground (Greywalker, Book 3): A Greywalker Novel

I am having a hard time liking Harper🤷🏾‍♀️. Do I understand her character? Yes, but I don't like her. Being reserved is one thing. But for all the connections she's had in the last three books, I question if she has any relationships that matter to her on a deeper level. Will, not being aware of her work or how the Grey has changed her life is one thing. But for them chasing down the monster in the book, she implores the help of friends and a new bed mate to help stop the creature. However, when life threatening injury occurs, Harper is passive about it. How close of a friend are they that she doesn't fully acknowledge that?? Maybe it's the decade of urban fantasy where female characters have to be disinterested in the close relationships around them like a guy would be but even Mercy goes hard for her friends and the people she cares about.
