DNF. I really tried, but I couldn't connect with the characters. I love historical romance and reunited lovers is a favorite trope. But Violet and James came off as vapid, frivolous, privileged, spoiled children with bad dads.
This book is described as a rom-com but because the James and Violet were so petty and immature to each other I felt no sympathy for either of them and found little humor in their actions.
