Big Bird Character: Mark O’Meara

Solid read, enjoyed learning stuff about Tiger as a kid and coming up that I didn’t know about. Def gets a little longwinded as it takes you through his career. I’d like to go back and watch videos of some of these performances. Kinda feel bad for Tiger even though it’s hard to because he sounds like such a dick. But that’s kind of the way he was raised. Seems to have mellowed a bit now that he has kids. I couldn’t help but think how the 3 of us are Jordan and Tiger guys who are known to be huge assholes but we dislike Lebron. Are we just old?

Big Bird Character: Kultida...spitfire who is the OG Tiger Mom
I enjoyed it, but it felt long-winded & just another story about Tiger, not from Tiger. It was pretty sad, which is probably why I only went 2.8. I learned a few tidbits, but overall, all I gleaned from it was that this is a great example of how important parenting is. I kept wondering, if Tiger wasn't gifted, would he have been another cast aside kid in a family looking for a way up the ladder?
Good read. 7.8 cookies. Oreo. Dunker to a golf fan. Biographies only work when someone has lived a really interesting or unique life and Tiger definitely fits that mold. Nothing about his life has been normal. Crazy reading he was hitting balls at 18 months, and how good he was so young. Lot of great behind the scenes stories in here. Hilarious picturing him in a limo in 1997 blasting Quad City DJ’s down Magnolia Lane. I just picture the Dave Chapelle Tiger in my head. The book really points out how much of an asshole he was to people and how cold and ruthless he was. But it seems like it’s just from not having a normal upbringing he didn’t even know how to act. Obviously an amazing competitor, I wonder how much he self sabotaged himself with the excessive weight lifting and Navy SEALS shit, seemed like that was his golf downfall more than the personal stuff. Book trails off at the end but more because as is the nature of biographies it was more fun to read about him taking over the world than about rehab and the struggles. Always been a Tiger fan, still am.
Big Bird award for favorite character goes to Amateur Tiger. When he was just on the cusp of taking over the world, that was fun to read about.
