I love Tim Powers and reread often, but this is my least favorite so far. The inclusion of Einstein and Chaplin seems forced, and the time-jumping is difficult to follow, and the character I was most interested in (the daughter) isn't much in it, really. Plus I care not at all about historical politics, so maybe I'm not the right audience for this one.
