Thoughtless

From the #1 New York Times bestselling author S.C. Stephens comes a powerful and emotional contemporary romance featuring a young woman in a new city who finds herself torn between her handsome, reliable boyfriend and a sexy local rock star.

For almost two years now, Kiera’s boyfriend, Denny, has been everything she’s ever wanted: loving, tender, and endlessly devoted to her. When they head off to a new city to start their lives together—Denny at his dream job and Kiera at a top-notch university—everything seems perfect. Then an unforeseen obligation forces the happy couple apart. Feeling lonely, confused, and in need of comfort, Kiera turns to an unexpected source—a local rock star named Kellan Kyle. At first, he’s purely a friend she can lean on, but as her loneliness grows, so does their relationship. And then one night everything changes…and none of them will ever be the same.

Okay so I have good opinions and not so good opinions on this book. I really liked the authors writing, I found the book really easy to read and I read the 500 pages within a couple of days which is not something I can do easily. I actually really enjoyed the beginning of this book. I liked the forbidden lust between Kiera had Kellan and I don’t hate the prospect of a love triangle. The problem came in when Kiera began to cheat on Denny. I really don’t like the cheating trope and honestly I hated Kiera for the last 150 pages of the book. Additionally I think the book was really dragged out, I don’t think the decision Kiera had to make should of been dragged out for like 250 pages and I think if the book was a little shorter I may have enjoyed it a little more. Within saying that I loved the spice🌶 in this book as I love a steamy romance. I did really like the authors style of writing so it’s not to say I wouldn’t read another book of hers if given the chance. Not my favourite but I don’t regret reading it hence the 5⭐️.
