“In Britney Spears’s memoir, she’s stronger than ever.” —The New York Times

Over 2 million copies sold of the “moving” (Time), “powerful” (Los Angeles Times), “radiant” (The New York Times), “poignant” (Vogue) #1 New York Times bestseller. The Woman in Me is a brave and astonishingly moving story about freedom, fame, motherhood, survival, faith, and hope.

In June 2021, the whole world was listening as Britney Spears spoke in open court. The impact of sharing her voice—her truth—was undeniable, and it changed the course of her life and the lives of countless others. The Woman in Me reveals for the first time her incredible journey—and the strength at the core of one of the greatest performers in pop music history.

Written with remarkable candor and humor, Spears’s groundbreaking book illuminates the enduring power of music and love—and the importance of a woman telling her own story, on her own terms, at last.

I was expecting so much more from a tell all and felt like everything she wrote, we already knew. I realize with legal stuff you can't say names or that, but maybe get a little deeper on things. Overall, the audio was ok. I was first disappointed she didn't narrate the whole audiobook, but Michelle Williams did a great job.

I have always been in love with Pop Culture and especially Britney Spears so reading this I was able to get a more intimate look inside the Britney I idolized growing up.

This was a very sad memoir but I am glad we all came together and helped her fight for her freedom and to hear her POV for it all was told very well.

3.25⭐️ While I enjoyed getting to know a deeper side of Britney's journey, the writing wasn't anything special. It was clunky at times and sort of hard to keep up with. I know she was telling her story in her own way, and I appreciate that, but the writing felt more like reading a diary than a memoir.
