Well written, easy to read. A family story, mostly focused on 2 sisters that come of age leading up to WW2. There are women that come alongside each of them during a tense period; we hear a bit of their stories, too. I appreciated the research the author did to accurately portray the setting.
Enjoyable read, one to get from the library. I didn't commonplace any passages, and likely won't read again.
