Content warning for kidnapping, violence, sexual violence, manipulation, and related topics. I really liked some of the things that this novel did. Primarily, the sections narrated by the abductor. I was so thoroughly creeped out. I was surprised by the twist, that was done really successfully. What worked less for me was the pacing. I thought the pacing was a little start and stop, but things picked up by the halfway point.
