The story seemed intriguing when I began this novel, but then the story was never actually told to us. I don't have a clue what happened, who the central characters or the background authorities were, what the conflict was, or most especially who I was supposed to be playing in the story. Second-person narration is irritating enough on its own, but when combined with back-and-forth switches to first-person it becomes entirely incomprehensible. I wish I had not continued all the way through this one.
