It is hard to find a better scientist author than Rachel Carson. I really enjoyed the first half of the book, which was mostly describing the first 3.8 billion years of the sea's history. Totally awesome. When she starts getting into the topography of the ocean's floor, not gonna lie, I kind of nodded off... hence 4 stars instead of 5. Still highly recommend anything with her name on it.
