I would like to explain my rating and how this could have gotten a higher rating!
I actually quite enjoyed this read, it was well paced, not too long and not too short, it had enjoyable characters and included a sapphic love story and a character with they/them pronouns.
However, the reason I gave it 3.5 ⭐️ rather than 4/4.25 ⭐️ is due to it being a series! It was marketed as them being standalone stories in the same world, but I think you would get more out of it having read the first 2 books. I also predicted the plot early on, so that lowered the rating down a bit.
