A plus Kindle first reads book!
Usually the author's note is boring or not really enticing enough to keep your interest, but you try to plow through it anyway, not so of this one. It was thoroughly engaging and completely prepared you for the story to come. I couldn't wait to begin reading the book after reading the detailed and thorough research that was done before starting the story.
This is a very well written story about the things one doesn't talk about even though they exist. Friends and out of towners lives change the dynamics of the status quo of the town. So many twist and turns, some dysfunctional families pretending everything is fine, and historically accurate references of the era, all extremely well done. One of the best edited books I've read in ages also. Kudos all around. I will look for more from this author.
