This is one of the times I wish we could do "half" stars. I'd have given The President's Daughter 3.5 stars. I enjoyed the story, as I love political suspense novels. The writing wasn't my favorite, however. I saw the "twist" coming a mile away, which is not normal for me, so had to be obvious to anyone reading it. The pronoun use was incorrect in many instances (who vs whom; I vs me, etc.) There were often extra line breaks between paragraphs, as if the first paragraph ended in a cliffhanger or twist, but the next paragraph was simply a continuation. (I'm not sure if this is clear, but trust me in that it was completely unnecessary.) I also didn't care for the repetition of phrases. They appeared to be used as a tool to remind the reader of who a character is, e.g., the president's husband and chief of staff comes into the room, and instead of just saying he entered, we're reminded of his roles, which I don't think anyone could have forgotten. Overall, the story was pretty good, but considering the authors, I was disappointed in the writing quality.
Although plot is unlikely this plot and story is still a great read. As a father I couldn’t help but to imagine myself as the main character
