I really really loved this book a lot! This had everything in it. Action, suspense, humor, and a happy ending.. It kept me hooked and I was not able to put it down.

Cora, the female protagonist, was very brave and could remain calm and stoic even in stressful situations.. The book also gave an insight about the terrible situation of a plane being hijacked and how it has a great impact on the life of the people on board and their families.

This has become a part of my 'loved beyond words' shelf on my Goodreads account...

A must read for all book lovers!

Cora is scared to fly again after her husband died in a recent helicopter crash in Pago Pago. But now, halfway across the Pacific, her flight is hijacked. Six people are dead—including the pilots—and Cora must work with Detective Kyle Adams to try to save the rest of the passengers on board. This book was selected as our December read and it exceeded all my expectations! I usually try to read our selections slowly over the course of the month so it stays fresh in my mind. Unfortunately, that wasn’t possible with this book. The Pilot’s Daughter has easily one of the best first chapters I have ever read. It is non-stop excitement from the first page and, once you start reading, it is impossible to put the book down. Aside from the exciting storyline, the author has created some beautifully crafted characters who are written simply without unnecessary complications while still feeling like real people. Cora and Kyle are particularly well written and I found myself cheering for them from the moment they took their seats. The Pilot’s Wife is a quick, enjoyable read and should absolutely be added to your TBR list!
