The Penguin Book of Ghost Stories: From Elizabeth Gaskell to Ambrose Bierce

This is quite a comprehensive anthology of the authors from the title. There were some stories that were sleep-with-the-lights-on worthy and some that were psychologically scary and some that were eerie. I very much enjoyed reading the different styles and I’d enjoy another anthology with more recent authors. I’ll have to search for one in the new year.
