In this beloved picture book that could only come from the visionary mind of author and illustrator TIM BURTON, we meet Jack Skellington-- a well-intentioned inhabitant of Halloweenland.
Jack is bored of "the scaring, the terror, the fright....tired of being something that goes bump in the night". And so, in an effort to bring to joy to his town, Jack kidnaps Santa and takes his place as the jolly old elf. But instead of bringing joy to the world Jack, who is a little more than a grinning skeleton, brings fear by delivering creepy toys and riding a sleigh carried by skeletal reindeer.
Only through a number of things going horribly wrong does Jack learn the true meaning of Christmas.

"I'm sick of the scaring, the terror; the fright. I'm tired of being something that goes bump in the night. I'm bored with leering my horrible glances, And my.feet hurt from dancing those skeleton dances. I don't like graveyards, and I need something new. There much be more to life than just telling, 'Boo!'"

My all-time favourite movie by one of my all-time favourite directors... Tim Burton.

The Nightmare Before Christmas is such a magical story about Jack Skellington who is sad about being in Halloween-Town. He's fed up of the same thing shear after year being the Long of Halloween. He wanted to branch out and do something else and finally found Christmas-Town. He seen the laughter the love and the cheer. He seen Santa and the presents and wanted to become the faithful jolly man as he got to do it every year.

Jack takes over as Santa this year and things go terribly wrong, he left presents that scared the children and gave them nightmares. He heard a commotion and thought it was cheers but in fact it was missiles headed straight for his coffin sleigh. Jack crashed his his coffin sleigh in a graveyard and became quite upset. He heard Santa behind him as he wept and told him he knew he didn't mean to cause trouble. Santa carried on the Christmas Eve night.

Jack went back to Halloween-Town and Santa brought Christmas there. He made it snow and it made jack happy.
