Thoroughly enjoyed this book! Not my usual genre but was captivated from the start and became totally immersed in the fantastical quality and magic of the circus. Description was beautiful and just the right quantity to lead me in and start forming the images in my minds eye. The story itself kept me turning the pages willing the battle to proclaim a victor. Had to force myself to close the book in order to sleep at times.
Although it was a slightly slow start, I loved the dreamy quality of this book. The magic and the insidious nature of the circus and the "challenge" between Marco and Celia drove the story and made me want to keep reading to find out how everything would turn out in the end. One of my favorite books. The story is really good and the visuals are incredibly beautiful. I loved everything about this book and cannot wait to read more from this author!
Absolutely amazing. Celia has my heart 🖤 I got lost in this book totally and never wanted it to end.
No surprise here. Erin Morgenstern has written 2 books and both of them are my top favorites. My only grievance is that she hasn't written more books.
