I loved the title of this and thought it would be a fun read. Which it was--fun and easy read, but it was just too contrived and silly.
Sadly a DNF for me. I tired, I really tried. It was just...boring. A wonderful premise, great title, beautiful cover art. And that's where it stopped. I had no investment at all in the characters and what they did or didn't do.
Fun story - almost a mystery - about self discovery and taking time to be real. Liv is a cleaner, who happens to work a couple of days a week for her FAVORITE author of all time: Essie Starling. Liv's always wanted to write, but life has conspired against her in the pursuit of that dream. We get a slice of life from modern London, much in the vein of Marian Keyes or Sophie Kinsella. Then something unpredicted changes everything. We get to see Liv rediscover herself and the person she was always meant to be.
