Whimsical with paper songbirds and a paper dog named Fennel. Client's path to becoming a magician continues.
More paper folding spells and manhunt for an excisioner. A touch of romance and much intrigue as,she prepares for her musician's test. Page Turner to th end. I was left wanting more. Just one more, please.

Ceony is an absolute idiot in the book. I like this series, this world and the author - usually- but this outing was just annoying. Ceony is frustratingly smart and stupid at the same time. She could have been a hero and actually defeated the bad guy easily with just a little forethought, planning, and follow through instead of rushing head long into danger over and over.

A fun and incredibly heartwarming installment to end a series that I love. Ceony wielding all the materials made things more interesting and a great contender for my favorite installment. But I couldnât help but feel the ending didnât do this series justice. It was definitely missing something more between Ceony and Emery. It was a beautiful scene in that sentimental place and then it ended so abruptly, I searched for an epilogue. I could have used even a sentence or two more. After spending three books building up their relationship and teasing the outcome that Ceony saw in the Fortuity box, there wasnât even an epilogue, but there needed to be.
