The Maddest Obsession (Made Book 2)

⭐️⭐️⭐️ (3) 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️ (5) “Maybe I was courting the devil, though no one had ever warned me the devil would feel so good” 📖Most of you don’t know, but I’m part of a small bookclub which mostly means we pick whatever smutty book we’re feeling that month and we talk about it while sitting around and drinking wine. This was our January pick. 🤷🏻‍♀️This is the second in the series but I don’t feel like I lost out on anything having not read the first book. The plot was easy to follow (mostly cause the only plot was sex) and while it’s obvious who the first book is about, not enough of their story is ever revealed to give it away if you wanted to read them in order. 🙃Don’t get me wrong, I thoroughly enjoyed this book. I binge read it, and there were quite a few times I was squealing with delight. That being said, it was very predictable and as I mentioned before, other than sex there really was no actual plot. It took until the last few chapters of the book to get any meaningful backstory from the characters, and while they were fun, they felt very 2D. 💙The sex was hot…but it was almost so often that I became desensitized to it. Especially since there wasn’t much else going on in the story to back it up. Would I read it again? Maybe if all I did was flip to the sex scenes. Would I read the other books in the series? Again maybe, but probably only because I have a completionism personality. Overall it was a quick and easy read, but nothing that changed my life.
