I stopped at about page 190. I went into this blind - the book was a recommendation due to other books I’d looked at and it caught my eye. I felt more and more uneasy about the author as the book went on. When I went to look up the Stanford Prison Experiment, I chose to watch a documentary about it for a different perspective. My spidey-senses were correct. Zimbardo’s experiment is inherently flawed, milked for his own fame, and intentionally encouraged psychological harm. Zimbardo clearly went into the experiment with a goal in mind, which is not objective. He then sensationalizes the process and has been making appearances and interviews for fifty years on it. I was disappointed to learn all of this. Knowing how biased Zimbardo’s views are, I decided to put the book down and not finish.
