AMAZING!!!! It was kinda sad at first, but the more i read the more i had to continue reading. Gorgeous storytelling and timing. The history and the secrets and the main character finding things out as they happen in the next chapter or chapter before was chefs kiss. The way everything ties up in the end is so heartwarming. Such a sweet story and beautiful life lessons within. Not to mention all the cool recipes and tips at the end :)
Overall this book was just alright. There were two storylines and I wish the author would have wrote the book solely with the story focused on the narrative based in the late 1700s. It took a long time to get into and then had a really interesting twist with a disappointing end.
Great mystery and strong female characters! The ending was tied up in a perfectly neat bow! Kudos to Sarah Penner!
