Sweet Regency romance with a paranormal twist. The Ton has shifters who are looking for their perfect matches. Denise Foxe would rather find a quiet place to read while her sister enjoys the Season. She is charmed when she meets a gentleman who loves books as well. That he’s a rabbit shifter with no title doesn’t bother her at all. But how will her family and society react?
The story is told from both Denise’s and George’s points of view in alternating chapters. I found this narrative device charming and felt it added depth to both characters. Their romance runs concurrent with her twin sister’s told in The Fox and the Viscount, with various events referenced, but works as a standalone if you have not read it.
This was a quick, light and fluffy read. George and Denise are characters to root for as they find their happily ever after. I look forward to more of the Shifter Season series.
