The Keeper of Lost Causes: A Department Q Novel

Unfortunately as an avid mystery/thriller reader I found this plot to be one of the most predictable I have ever read. I only forced myself to finish this book because of all the great reviews.

Also really really hated how much the main character insulted and spoke down to the refugee in his office. I understand the author wanted to use it as a point of character growth, but it felt like lazy writing.

I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS BOOK.

Yet another excellent Scandinavian crime story. What I want to know, though - are all the cops in Denmark, Sweden, Norway and Iceland such dark characters? The story was very well composed and translated. It did end up as I had expected, but there were surprises along the way and a few things I didn't figure out at all. I will definitely read another from this author!
