This one dragged me in from a Facebook ad and it did disappoint a bit on what I expected. The scene that teased me enough to try this book didn't even occur til about 70% of the way through and it was such a small part....ugh! This was just as the title's details portray....a very cute, southern romance. Very light spice which I was fine with but even the chemistry was a bit off for me.
The ending definitely leaves you on a cliffhanger to read the 2nd but it wasn't enough and unfortunately I have no interest in reading the next one of the series. Another drag was the voice on Spotify that narrated it. Female narrator did all the voices and it threw me off for the MMC.
One tad bit they definitely got right in this was the detail of what a small town is like....nothing but judgy, meddling and gossiping people.

not really my style not sure why I read and now I may be stuck reading more because it's a series and I have a hard time walking away. Liked a couple of the characters but so much of it is not realistic. Reminds me of the old harlequin romance series you used to be able to subscribe to and get a free wine glass. I guess lightish, funnish and unrealistic but quick read. if you are in to soap opera ish books with not a lot of substance and somehow everyone is getting int a relationship with that hot guy with the muscles then this is for you?
Such a sweet small town romance book. I love this authors writing style and lovable characters.
Marketing was great so it intrigued me to read it. This is not my type of book but I went for it anyway. I did not like how two stories were intertwined. It did remind me a lot of Sweet Magnolia which I didn’t mind watching the series because it’s a palette cleanser to the usual stuff I read/watch. It wasn’t until the last page/cliff hanger that I needed to see what happened next because the story was definitely cut off and incomplete. So I will try book 2 but I’m not in a rush.
