The Great Silence (Electric Literature's Recommended Reading)

Really loved this story. Super short yet still packed an emotional punch. I snapped photos of the lines that stood out. “Human activity has brought my kind to the brink of extinction but I don’t blame them for it. They didn’t do it maliciously. They just weren’t paying attention.” I feel like that is going to sum things up pretty well in the end. Super sad but well written, and from the POV of a parrot!
