My favorite science fiction series! There's no one quite like Zelazny who helps you begin thinking more intently, intelligently, and poetically, with broadened vistas and enhanced enthusiasm. I will always relish the memories found among these marvelous pages: of terrain that changes shape and texture under the growing cognizance of one man who struggles to regain his memory, powers, and royal status in the one world from which all others are but a shadow. And of his struggles to overcome his family peers who hold equal powers and stop at nothing to get rid of him, and his claim to the throne of Amber. The story has become autobiographical for me, searching for my kingdom in this world of light and shadow.

Took me a few attempts to get into the book but once I got past the initial roadblock, I was hooked and binge read right through until the end, often staying up much later than I normally would to read. Great series and well put together. Highly recommend.
