The Goldfinch

Honestly, I was hooked in the beginning. Beautiful writing but the adrenaline kind of faded and I didn't finish it :( From what I read - 4 stars but since I didn't finish, 3 stars it is.

Would give it more than 5 stars if I could. Best book I've read in a very long time!!

The writing in this book is absolutely incredible! The story kept my interest throughout. The characters were multifaceted and so well drawn that I felt I could recognize them on the street. There were times that I almost cried, rare for me with a book, when I felt such empathy for the characters and their lots in life. It was a book that crossed genres for me, sometimes thriller, sometimes mystery, even young adult, but no matter, it was great all the way through.
